Biography


4. Biography: Dr. Njue M. Murimi is a Kenyan born on the Eastern slopes of Mt. Kenya; currently serving as a faculty at Alupe University, Kenya. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Hospitality Management, a Master of Science in Hospitality Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Ecotourism and Hospitality Management. He is an alumnus of the African Civic Engagement Academy (ACEA) Fellowship. He is professionally trained in the Strategic Leadership Development Program (SLDP), Senior Management Course (SMC) from Kenya School of Government, and Research & Public Health Ethics Review from CBEC-KEMRI. He is a Ph.D. Scholarship Award winner. He has published several articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals, He a Postgraduate Supervisor department of ECOHIM- Maseno University, an Editorial Board member of the Journal of Innovations in Business and Strategic Management and a Peer Reviewer of the NHI Hospitality international Journal. He is a member of Kenya Association of Food Safety and Protection (KAFSAP) and a Full member of the Tourism Professional Association (TPA-Kenya), serving on “The education and training” Committee. He has served in various committees and leadership roles in Public, Private, and NGO’s including Alupe University, Gretsa University, Kenya Institute of Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA), Great Lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK), Mount Kenya University (MKU-Thika), KASNEB, Kenya Wildlife Service, Desert Rose Lodges and Kiriari Secondary School. He is an active Member of the Youth for Sustainable Development (YSD) Western and Mt Kenya chapters in Kenya. He has expertise in quantitative and qualitative methods, analysis and modeling, Information technology, and Structural Equation Modelling.

2.     Master of Science in Hospitality Management, 2018, Mount Kenya University. Title of thesis: Influence of workplace Environment on Employees' Job Satisfaction in Two and Three-Star Rated Hotels in Kisumu County, Kenya.
