Alupe University was proudly represented at the signing of the Implementation Agreements for the Higher Education, Science and Technology (HEST) Phase II Project by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. L. P. Barasa, and the Chairperson of Council, Dr. Virginia Kimani.
The Vice Chancellor joined fellow Vice Chancellors from across the country and the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Hon. Julius Migos Ogamba, at this significant national event, which marks a major milestone in advancing Kenya’s higher education and research agenda.
The HEST Phase II Project is a strategic government initiative aimed at strengthening Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in universities. Through targeted investments in modern infrastructure, acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment, enhancement of research capacity, and the strengthening of governance and management systems, the project seeks to position Kenyan universities as drivers of innovation and socio-economic transformation.
