
Alupe University is proud to celebrate the outstanding performance of its student-athletes during the Kenya University Sports Federation (KUSF) Games held at Kibabii University from 24th to 25th January 2026.
The Alupe University team delivered an impressive showing, securing a total of seven medals across various sporting disciplines. Competing against universities from across the region, the Alupe contingent demonstrated remarkable talent, discipline, and determination, further strengthening the University’s growing reputation in competitive university sports.
The medals were earned in a combination of track, field, and team events, highlighting the depth and diversity of sporting talent within the university. University officials commended the athletes for their resilience and commitment, noting that the achievement reflects consistent training, teamwork, and the University’s continued investment in sports development. The coaches and technical team were also recognized for their dedication and preparation, which played a significant role in the team’s success.
Speaking after the competition, the team captain expressed appreciation to the university management for providing an enabling environment that allows students to balance academic pursuits with sporting excellence. The captain noted that the achievement will serve as motivation for the athletes to aim even higher in future competitions. The medal-winning athletes have qualified to represent the region at the national KUSF Games scheduled to be held in Nairobi in December.
This achievement comes barely a fortnight after the University recorded another commendable performance in sports at Kaimosi Friends University earlier this semester, further demonstrating the institution’s steady rise in university sports.
Indeed, the golden star of Alupe University continues to shine even brighter in the KUSF Games.
