Biography

He is currently serving as a lecturer of linguistics, a position he has held since 2017. He taught English and Literature in secondary school for many years. He is a member of the Language Association of East Africa.

Education

  • Doctoral  at Mount Kenya University. (2019- to date) The title of his PhD thesis is: A Discursive Construction of Linguistic Elements Employed to Invoke Gender and Power During Debate in Busia County Assembly in Kenya.
  • Master of Arts Degree (2012) Kenyatta University. The title of his MA Dissertation is: Thematic Organization in Spoken Discourse Among Selected Speakers of Kenyan Dholuo.
  • He has a Bachelor of Education – Arts (2nd Class Upper Division) (2004) Moi University. 

Research interests

  • Has a keen interest in Discourse Analysis as is evident in both the PhD and the MA theses.Attended the following conferences:
