Biography

Dr. Osabwa teaches Educational foundations courses in the School of Education and Social Sciences. He previously taught at secondary school level under the Teachers Service Commission. He is a specialist in Philosophy of Education, with interests in philosophical anthropology and qualitative educational research. He has published a book on Character Education Pedagogy, and several journal articles. He is also a newspaper (The Daily Nation) commentator on issues in education and other topical matters. At Alupe University, he is the acting Dean, School of Education and Social Sciences, and Chairperson of the Department of Curriculum Instruction and Educational Foundations.

Thesis title: Education for Development of Skilled Human Resource in Kenya: Argument for a Sound Educational Philosophy.

Master of Education in Philosophy of Education (2016) from Kenyatta University. Thesis title: An Analysis of the Pedagogical Approaches to Character Formation in Kenyan Schools: In Search of an Alternative.

Bachelor’s degree in Education (Arts), all from Kenyatta University (2005).

Educational theory and praxis; qualitative research in education; and philosophical anthropology.
