Biography

Asenahabi is a Doctor of Philosophy in Information Technology lecturer who has majored in computer hardware option. He is currently the Director, ICT at Alupe University. He is registered with Engineers Registration Board under Serial Number B7719 and Association of Computing Practitioners – Kenya under Membership No: PM000209. His Open Researcher and Contributor Identifier ORCID No is 0000 0002 0774 5182. Asenahabi attracted a National Research Fund grant for his Master’s thesis – 7th Call 2015/2016 NACOSTI MA/MSc GRANT – Research amounting to KSh. 150,000/-.

He has also attracted a grant to facilitate training lecturers on Technology Enabled Learning courtesy of Common Wealth of Learning under Three different phases which obtained a total grant of KSh. 3,899,000/-). Bostley gives back to the community through Ministry of Education appointment as member of the Board of Management, Mukhonje Secondary School.

Research Interests

Asenahabi has developed interest in technologies in the learning environment. Different studies have been carried out in line with this and several articles have been published in peer reviewed journals out of these studies:

  • Studies about Technology integration in Learning have been carried out at Alupe University and published – Report on the Impact of Technology-Enabled Learning at Alupe University; Report of the Baseline Study on Technology Enabled Learning at Alupe University. The studies were funded by Commonwealth of Learning.
  • A PhD thesis – Learning Management Systems and Web Conference Tools Usability Model towards Enhanced Self-Directed Learning in Universities has been carried out to completion in line with this and several papers have been published in peer reviewed journals.
  • A Master’s Thesis – Cost-Effectiveness of Using Thin-Client Technology in Enhancing Service Delivery in School Computer Laboratories in Kenya was carried out to completion and several papers have been published in line with this. It was funded by National Research Fund – 7th Call 2015/2016 NACOSTI MA/MSc GRANT – Research.
