Alupe University is committed to supporting students to access financial assistance that enables them to pursue their studies successfully. 1. HELB Loans and Scholarships

Students can apply for eligible Higher Education Financing (HEF) opportunities through the official HELB/HEF Student Portal.

How to Apply

Step 1: Create an Account
Visit the official HEF/HELB Student Portal and register using your National ID details or KCSE information where applicable.

Step 2: Activate Your Account
Check your registered email address and activate your account using the link provided.

Step 3: Complete Your Profile
Log in and provide the required personal, academic, parent/guardian, and financial information.

Step 4: Select Funding
Select the applicable scholarship, loan and/or bursary option for which you wish to apply.

Step 5: Upload Supporting Documents
Attach the required documents, which may include identification documents, academic information, admission details, parent/guardian information, and other documents specified by HELB.

Step 6: Submit the Application
Review your information carefully and submit the application online. Keep the confirmation details or application reference number for future follow-up.

HELB states that applications are paperless and students should not pay anyone to process a HELB application.

Requirements

Students who previously received HELB funding may apply for subsequent funding when the application window is open. 

The current HELB guidance provides options including the HELB Student Portal, HELB mobile services and USSD *642#, depending on the applicable funding category.

General Procedure
  • Log in to your HELB/HEF account or use the applicable HELB mobile service.
  • Select the subsequent loan/funding application.
  • Confirm your academic and personal details.
  • Submit the application.
  • Save the confirmation or application serial number.

Universities Fund Scholarship
