Biography

Concilia Ogombo is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Public Health, Nutrition and Behavioral Science; in the School of Health Sciences; Alupe University. She holds a Master of Science (Public Health) from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology; Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Moi University, a Diploma in Water Technology (Sanitation Option) from Kenya Water Institute. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology; and she is a beneficiary of the 2022/2023 HELB Scholarship for her PhD studies. In addition, she is a lucky winner of Alupe University Annual Research Grant for 2024/2025 for s proposal titled: Enhancing Nutrition Education for Vulnerable Groups in Busia Teso Sub-county: Integrating Cultural Beliefs and Practices through a Participatory Approach.

Concilia is a member of the following professional bodies:
