Dr. Gladys Nyaiburi Ogaro is a lecturer of Literature at Alupe University, Kenya, in the Department of Language and Literature Education, within the School of Education and Social Sciences. She serves as the School Timetable and Examination Coordinator, as well as a Quality Assurance Champion. She has also participated in the preparation of the university’s strategic plans of 2018-2023 and 2024-2029. She previously worked at Mount Kenya University as an Assistant Lecturer and with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC). She is a devoted scholar that has published extensively, thus contributing valuable insights to the academic community. Her research delves into various aspects of literature with much focus on: African Literature, children literature, gender studies, diasporic studies, self-writings and issues on socio-economic and governance. Her scholarly endeavors are further enriched by her active participation in academic conferences. As an engaged scholar, she is a member of several professional and academic associations, including the Kenya Oral Literature Association (KOLA), Language Association of East Africa (LAEA), KISTRECH Theatre International, Great Learners of Africa Communiqué (GLAC), and the Christian and Scientific Association of Kenya (CSAK). Beyond academia, she participates in humanitarian initiatives, including Red Cross activities. |
