Alupe University has achieved a significant milestone after being nominated to represent Kenya’s Public Universities on the Executive Committee of the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA). The nomination was made during the just concluded IUCEA Annual General Meeting and Conference held in Nairobi, Kenya, on 31st July, 2026, attended by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peter L. Barasa.
The appointment underscores the confidence that institutions of higher learning across the region have in Alupe University and its growing role in promoting excellence in higher education, research, innovation, and regional integration.
Serving on the IUCEA Executive Committee provides the University with an opportunity to contribute to policy discussions and strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening collaboration among universities within the East African Community. It also positions Alupe University to actively participate in shaping the future of higher education in the region through knowledge sharing, quality assurance, academic partnerships, and innovation.
