The University is proud of her student-athletes for their impressive performance during the Kenya University Sports Federation (KUSF) games held at Kibabii University held between 24th and 25th January, 2026. The team is applauded for bagging a total of seven medals won across different sporting disciplines.

Whilst competing against various universities across the region, the Alupe contingent showcased talent, discipline, and determination, reinforcing the university’s growing reputation in competitive university sports. The medals were earned in a mix of track, field, and team events, reflecting the diversity and depth of Alupe University’s sporting talent.

University officials praised the athletes for their resilience and commitment, noting that the strong performance is a result of consistent training, teamwork, and institutional support for sports development. The coaches and technical team were also commended for their guidance and preparation, which played a key role in the athletes’ success.

Speaking after the games, the team captain expressed gratitude to the university management for providing an enabling environment that allows students to balance academics and sports, adding that the medals are a motivation to aim even higher in future competitions.

Alupe University is ever encouraging and supporting students to participate in sports as part of holistic education and looks forward to even greater success in upcoming KUSF championships. The University’s growing list of sporting milestones and underscores the institution’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded students through both academic excellence and co-curricular activities.
