🎓 “Welcome to the Home of Dreams” 🎓
By Joseson Wako
Welcome, dear dreamers, to Alupe’s embrace,
Where hope meets purpose, and visions find their place.
Here, beneath the sun of endless possibility,
You’ve stepped into the land of learning and dignity.
Your journey begins where knowledge flows,
Where every seed of curiosity grows.
Each lecture, each page, each sleepless night,
Will shape your tomorrow and sharpen your sight.
Here, we build more than scholars — we build destiny,
We mold champions who will rewrite history.
Your voices are candles; let them brightly ignite,
For the world awaits your wisdom, your courage, your light.
Alupe is more than just walls and halls,
It’s laughter echoing through academic calls.
It’s friendships that bloom like the dawn of spring,
It’s dreams taking flight on untiring wings.
Walk boldly, first years, the path is yours to claim,
For greatness and glory shall carry your name.
The gates of tomorrow are open and wide,
And Alupe will walk with you, side by side.
So, breathe in this moment, let your spirit arise,
Spread your ambition beneath limitless skies.
Welcome, young stars, to where champions are made,
At Alupe University, let your brilliance cascade.

To sons and daughters
“To the Sophomore Sons”
Beware the smoke, the pill, the drink,
They blur your vision, they make you sink.
A fleeting thrill, but a heavy cost,
Dreams derailed, bright futures lost.
Boys of tomorrow, standing tall today,
Your path is yours—don’t throw it away.
The world awaits your noble stride,
So Walk with purpose, not with pride.
Your strength is not in reckless cheer,
But in the wisdom you choose to hear.
Say “No” to chains that bind the soul,
Say “Yes” to goals that make you whole.
Books are your weapons, discipline your shield,
Hard work the seeds you sow in the field.
Each dawn a chance to rise, to fight,
To shape your story, to claim your right.
So walk away from the poisoned crowd,
Stand firm, stand true, and make us proud.
For men are forged through trials endured,
And futures built by hearts matured.
Sophomores, sons—hear this plea,
Guard your honour, let greatness be.
The choices you make will light your way,
Towards a brighter, boundless day.

“Daughters of Destiny”
Daughters of destiny, rising with grace,
Your future shines bright, no storm can erase.
The world awaits your wisdom, your light,
So guard your dreams and hold them tight.
Beware the whispers, the tempting snare,
Of fleeting love that leads to despair.
Early pregnancy, a burden too soon,
It dims the stars that should make you bloom.
Do not be swayed by a sweet disguise,
For empty promises will blind your eyes.
Your worth is greater than reckless choice,
Stand tall, be proud, let wisdom be your voice.
Books are your jewels, education your crown,
With knowledge and virtue, you’ll never drown.
Dreams are the wings that lift you high,
Keep them strong and you’ll touch the sky.
Walk with dignity, guard your name,
Your honour, your future are not a game.
Stand apart, let the world see,
A woman of virtue, of strength, of dignity.
Sophomore daughters, hear this plea,
The power to shine is found in thee.
Choose wisely, live boldly, stay true, stay free,
And a brighter tomorrow is your destiny.

“A Father’s Letter to His Son”
My dear son, I write to you today,
To guide your steps along life’s way.
The road is rough, the world is wide,
But wisdom and courage will be your guide.
Temptations will knock, disguised as friends,
Promising joy that quickly ends.
Beware of shortcuts, the easy gain,
For fleeting pleasures leave lasting pain.
Hold fast to learning, it lights the night,
A torch that guides you to what is right.
Books are ladders to dreams untold,
Knowledge is treasure, greater than gold.
Work with patience, rise when you fall,
For life will test, and storms will call.
But discipline, son, will see you through,
There’s nothing too hard for a heart that is true.
Respect yourself, and others too,
Let kindness crown the things you do.
And never forget, wherever you roam,
That love and wisdom will bring you home.
So chase your dreams, my precious one,
For in your triumph, my joy is won.
The key is learning, the path is clear,
Walk boldly, my son, your future is near.
