Final Preparations Ahead of President Ruto’s Visit on Friday

‎‎Alupe University is in high gear as preparations continue for the upcoming visit by the President of the Republic of Kenya.

The visit, scheduled to take place tomorrow on Friday 31st, has energized the entire university community as staff, students, and local leaders join hands to ensure the institution is ready to host the Head of State_ H.E. Dr. Wiliam Ruto, once again.

‎This will not be the first time the President is visiting Alupe University a testament to the growing importance of the institution as a hub for education, research, and regional development in Western Kenya.

Each presidential visit has marked a significant milestone in the university’s growth, and this upcoming one is expected to further strengthen partnerships between the government and the institution.

‎In readiness for the event, the university has embarked on extensive preparations, including campus beautification, facility upgrades, and logistical coordination with national and county government teams. Security officers, protocol officers, and university officials have been working closely to ensure a seamless and well-organized visit.

‎The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peter Barasa, who was accomanoied by the Depuy Viechancelor in charge of Admistration, Finance and Development_ Prof Mahero Toboso, said the visit is a great honor and a moment for the university to highlight its progress and impact.

“We are proud to once again welcome His Excellency the President to Alupe University. His continued interest in our growth shows confidence in our vision to be a Centre of excellence in education, innovation, and research. Our teams are working tirelessly to ensure that everything is in place,” said Prof. Barasa.

‎The President is expected to tour key development projects within the university, interact with staff and students.

‎The visit is expected to bring together leaders from across Busia County and beyond, including local government officials, education stakeholders, and community representatives.
