Alupe University TVET Students Begin CDACC & KNEC Examinations
TVET candidates at Alupe University officially began their Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) assessments for the November/December session on Monday, 17th 2025. Among them also, there are those that are sitting for the Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (CDACC ) examinations.

This cohort that has been undertaking various diploma and certificate programmes showed readiness for the assessments, signaling their preparedness for the national examination period. The candidates from the Alupe University TVET Institute are drawn from programmes such as; Banking and finance, Human Resource, ICT, Agriculture and extension, Social Work, community health and computer science.

Some of the students expressed optimism as they embarked on their first papers. Many acknowledged the support received from lecturers, administrators, and the broader university community. The exams will run for the next three weeks, after which students will proceed to the next academic level depending on their programme structure.

This year’s examination period comes at a time when Alupe University has continued to expand its TVET portfolio, offering more industry aligned programmes and enhancing workshop facilities, laboratories, and digital learning resources.
“Our students have worked exceptionally hard, and we are confident they will excel. As a university, we have ensured that all examination rooms, materials, and invigilation procedures strictly meet KNEC standards,” said Dr. Caren Jerop the Director of TVET at Alupe University.

The Director reaffirmed the university’s commitment to strengthening TVET training as part of its mandate to produce competent graduates equipped with hands on skills to meet national and global labour market needs. She further urged the students to also encourage others to come and join TVET courses whose intake is every January, May and September of each year.

Late last week, the candidates dedicated themselves to God by holding a solemn prayer session that was attended by the Director f Quality Assurance at Alupe University amongst other members of academic and technical staff. Speaking during a prayer session with the students, the Director, Alupe University TVET Centre, Dr Caren Jerop commended the students for their discipline and preparedness throughout the academic year.

On his part, Prof Hillary Busolo_ the Director of Quality Assurance at Alupe University advised students to adhere to examination condes by avoiding exam irregularities. He encouraged them to arrive early at the examination room to enable them settle and be ready for the exam.
