The University is proud of its various sports teams for the avalanche of wins at local and national levels.

From the recent trail of friendly games between Alupe University against high school teams, TVET institutions, established clubs, and universities such including Turkana University College, Alupe University enjoyed the moments. In majority of these games, Alupe university has either been counted among the top, or the winner.

AU is honored by the track record set over the semester and emerging and more so, for emerging champions in the Kenya University Sports Federation (KUSF) Western region games, 2025.

The University Management, and the AU Community at large is proud of teams’ stellar performance. The VC, Prof Peter Barasa thanked the teams for the resilience and hard work in; Hockey, Football, handball, Table tennis and mind games all of which attracted medals.

A special mention goes to Purity Mauko, for participating and winning the National Championship Gold medal in the Persons With Disability (PWD) category.

It is in this spirit of appreciation for being our unmatched ambassadors this semester, that the VC has organized a sumptuous lunch to the team members, before they break for Christmas 2025 festivities.
